Namibia's annual inflation rate stood at 3.2% in Jan '25, down from 3.4% in Dec '24 and 5.4% in Jan ‘24. Cooling inflation is observed across several key baskets - most notably Housing & Utilities, where annual inflation eased to 2.9% from 4.4% in Dec '24 and 4.5% in Jan ‘24. Rent inflation came in fairly low: on an annual basis, inflation in the northern regions registered at 4.4%, compared to 4.3% in Khomas and -0.6% in the remaining regions. On a monthly basis, rent in Khomas saw deflation, posting a print of -0.7%.
