Real GDP Growth
Namibia recorded its slowest annual growth since ‘20, decelerating sharply to 1.7% in ’25 compared to an upwardly revised growth figure of 3.8% for ’24. While many of the individual sectors did well, outside of the top two performers, Construction (up 20.2%) and Water & Electricity (up 12.6%), all industries adding to growth were from the tertiary industries. Primary industries saw a second straight year of contraction, down a huge 7.2% in ’25. That decline was primarily off the back of livestock farming and diamond mining contractions.?
