The Namibia Statistics Agency reported that the Namibian economy grew 3.7% in Q2 ’23, after revising Q1 ’23 growth from 5.0% to 5.3%. This is slower than the revised 5.8% growth for Q2 ’22. This puts Namibia on nine consecutive quarters of real GDP growth, with Q2 ’23 being the slowest of these (second slowest: Q4 ’21 at 4.7%). However, the ’22 quarterly growth figures have been revised up materially, taking real GDP growth for CY ’22 to 7.6% from the prior 4.6%.
