Namibia's annual inflation for Jun ‘23 showed a significant deceleration, dropping to 5.3% from 6.3% in May ‘23 and 6.0% in Jun ‘22. This marks the second deceleration in inflation for the year and represents the slowest print since Mar ‘22. While the food and non-alcoholic beverages category remains the largest contributor to inflation, the transport category primarily drove the slowdown in inflation during Jun ‘23.
