Angola's annual inflation rate continued its deceleration trend for the 15th consecutive month in Apr ‘23, reaching 10.59%. This marks a significant decrease of 15.2 percentage points compared to the 25.8% recorded in Apr ‘22 and a slight decrease from the 10.81% recorded the previous month. This is the lowest annual inflation print since Jul ’15 (10.4%). As in other countries in the region, food and non-alcoholic beverages remain the primary contributors to inflation. Additionally, the monthly inflation rate saw a slight increase of 0.03 percentage points from 0.89% recorded in Mar ’23.
