Namibia’s annual inflation for Apr ’23 slowed to 6.1%, from 7.2% recorded in Feb and Mar ’23 but up from 5.6% in Apr ’22. This is the slowest annual print since Jun ’22 (6.0%). Food and non-alcoholic beverages remain the primary driver of inflation, although slowed compared to Q1 ’23, while transport inflation decelerated for the fifth consecutive month to its lowest level since Mar ‘21.
