Angolan annual inflation slowed to 21.4% in Jul ’22, its slowest rate since the advent of the pandemic (Apr ’20). This is the sixth consecutive month of slowing inflation after peaking at 27.7% in Jan ‘22, bucking the global trend of rising inflation. Monthly inflation slowed to 0.81% from 0.84% in Jun ’22, the slowest m/m rate since Apr ’15 and the third consecutive month of m/m inflation below 1.0%.
