Namibia’s annual inflation for Jul ’22 accelerated to 6.8%. This is an increase from the 4.0% in July ’21 and the 6.0% reported for Jun ’22 – being the highest print since Mar ’17 when inflation came in at 7.0%. Transport was once again the key driver of inflation, contributing 3.0%pts of the 6.8% NCPI print as both diesel and fuel prices reached new all-time highs in Namibia. Monthly inflation was unchanged at 1%, again largely driven by higher fuel prices.
