Namibia’s annual inflation for Apr ’22 jumped to 5.60%, up from 4.5% in Mar ’22 and 3.9% in Apr ’21. This is the highest inflation rate since Jun ’17, when annual inflation was 6.1%; however, inflation was at levels close to this in late ’18 and throughout most of ’17. This is the first breach above 5.0% since Dec ’18.
