The Bank of Namibia reported that private sector credit increased 2/8% y/y in Feb ’22, slightly faster than the 2.7% reported in Jan ’22. However, if the non-resident sector is included, then total private sector credit grew by 7.1%, owing to substantial increases in credit extended to non-residents. Total credit extended to the private sector now stands at N$113.1 billion.
